Ingredients

FOR CAKE

  • 80 ml Salted butter
  • 20 ml Vegetable oil
  • 2 Eggs
  • 100 grams All purpose flour
  • 100 grams castor sugar
  • ½ teaspoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 tablespoon Cornflour
  • 1 teaspoon Kalakhatta Emulsion

FOR SYRUP

  • ½ Cup Black Jamun, Kalakhatta juice
  • ½ Cup Pomegranate juice
  • 1 Table spoon Sugar
  • ¼ Tea spoon Agar Agar

Preparing the Cake

  1. To prepare this delicious cake recipe, take a glass bowl and mix together butter and sugar. Whisk till they are soft and fluffy. Now, add egg yolk and beat till light and fluffy.
  2. Sift the flour and baking powder, baking soda, cornflour together.
  3. Beat egg white till light and fluffy.
  4. Mix dry ingredient and egg white to butter mixture and mix well so that no lumps are formed. Transfer this mixture to cake tin. Place the tin in a preheated oven at 180C for 30-35 minutes or till a skewer comes out clean.

Pomegranate Syrup

  1. Pour both Black Jamun Kalakhatta juice and Pomegranate juice in pan,  add sugar and bring to boil.
  2. Now add Agar agar, Keep stirring, till the syrup becomes thick.
  3. Now pour the syrup on the cake top by docking and wait for the kids to finish it in no time.
