Lekue Ovo - Cylinder

It has never been so easy, quickly and healthy to cook and eat an egg and, what’s more, it has never been so original either… Lékué’s Ovo is a silicone mould into which you pour an egg without the shell (it is recommended but optional to put a pinch of salt and some drops of olive oil beforehand), you cover it and you put it in the microwave (in the middle if you want to do it more quickly or on the edges if you want to regulate the cooking) for a period of about half a minute and you will have a hard-boiled egg or an egg for dipping bread. The result of how you want the egg cooked will depend on how long you have it in the microwave and the power of the oven, so it is advisable to keep trying little by little until you are accustomed to using it and to handling the power of the microwave to achieve the egg desired.

Once this is achieved, the rest is already done. Start experimenting with creative cuisine and add ingredients such as slivers of ham or cured beef, cheeses, vegetable pieces and whatever you might think is more interesting to make a tasty and healthy recipe with eggs. The result will be even more attractive because the mould turns over and the egg with the ingredients remains on the plate in the shape of the mould, which, being made with platinum silicone, is removed very easily. You can do all kinds of recipes with eggs in the microwave, from hard-boiled eggs, soft-boiled eggs since the egg can be cooked in a bain-marie style by floating the Ovo in water, the yolk left with the texture of a fried egg (without oil) for dipping bread, mollet eggs or like scrambled egg or as a shaped omelette
